Story of An Artist
So how did it all start, well I've always been pretty creative and loved colouring, drawing etc from a very young age. But it went to a whole new level many years ago now when a friend bought me a set of acrylic paints, brushes and a canvas card for my birthday. I'd been talking a lot about wanting to start painting properly so I had no excuse with the tools in front of me.
I’ve always had a real passion for outdoor life, the countryside and feel the need to be close to it as much as possible. Design, colour and user interaction is a big part of my life, I have a BA Hons in Interactive Media and studied a range of mediums other than paint as part of this, but other than art at high school I'm pretty much a self-taught painter. I continue to study and attend exhibitions and have a keen interest in exploring new ideas and techniques.
I LOVE painting, I couldn’t imagine a life without it. I paint scenes that make me smile, from ideas in my head to a combination of photos I've taken and ones from online. I have a real connection to the paintings I complete in fact it's actually quite hard to let them go when they do sell or have been commissioned.
